I have not read more than the cover and first pages, but The Others by D.M. Wind is sitting next to me to fulfill the Horror or Paranormal square on my Book Bingo card.

I shocked myself by finishing 5 whole books in January. (I'm getting back oon the bus, I swear, but it is still so hard to read new things.)

Only a few chapters in (though I have to speed up a bit if I don't want the librarians to come after me!! XD) but I'm reading 'How to do nothing' by Jenny Odell. Some chapters I don't connect much with, and others leave me staring at the wall and thinking. Interesting so far!

A bit late considering it's Thursday now (hope that's fine haha !), I'm reading the "Djinn" duology (although this edition merged both books in one) by Jean-Louis Fetjaine. I have no idea if it has been translated into english, but it's really good so far.
It's historical fantasy written by an actual historian, taking place in 1130 in Antioch, in one of the "latin kingdoms" (i hope that's the correct translation) created during the crusades. I'm almost halfway through, which means I'm almost done with book one !

about a third of the way through rouge by mona awad, which is absolutely delivering on the weird drippy los angeles glitziness, the mommy issues, and the skincare-industry-as-horror. i'll have to take out another hold and wait to finish it, though, since i'm pretty sure i'm too busy to finish it before it's due back at the library.

I'm halfway through The Prince's Poisoned Vow by Hailey Turner and while I do enjoy all the queer rep, it has too many POVs for me.

And I'm 1/3 of the way in The Will of the Many by James Islington and not sure how I feel about it yet? It went in a direction I wasn't expecting already and I don't know if I'm happy about it and/or if it is for me.

The Hollow Places by T Kingfisher! It's not really my favourite so far (not super into portal fantasies) but the horror element is cool!
