RIP (Read In Progress) Wednesday

The time has come 'round again. What are you reading? 👀

My copy of Everything is Tuberculosis by John Green came and so far I really like it. I've actually never read Green's novels, only his other non-fiction book, so that's how I tend to think of him. He has a great voice for non-fiction: clear and concise but also lyrical and evocative.

Ooh, that arrived yesterday and I'm looking forward to reading it when I get a chance!

I'm the opposite - I've read his novels (although about a decade ago now) but not his non-fiction, so I'm curious how I'll find it. I don't expect I'll dislike it, though!

If you do like it, I suggest giving The Anthropocene Reviewed a try. It's a very different sort of book -- a series of essays about various aspects of the human-centric world that he rates on a 1-5 star scale -- but the writing style is similar and I liked it a lot.

I've been interested in that too! I think my library has it, so it's on my list.
