Name:silversea / Cru Pronouns: she/her/e/er Age Group: 20s Dealbreaker(s): Reusing my dealbreakers from last year, I don't want to interact with anyone who holds rightwing beliefs. I also don't don't want to interact with anyone who likes to apply morals to fiction. Other than that, please don't interact with me if you're 20 years old or younger.
I Recently Finished Reading:The Tomb of Dragons by Katherine Addison and Conversations with Friends by Sally Rooney A Book I Want to Reread: I'm actually planning to reread The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett soon, before I start A Drop of Corruption! Some Published Titles From My To Be Read List:Inanna by Emily H. Wilson, Hearing Happiness by Jaipreet Virdi, The Game of Kings by Dorothy Dunnett, and The Traitor Baru Cormorant by Seth Dickinson. A Book Not-Yet-Published I'm Excited About: I don't really follow new releases, and I think most of the series I'm following have recently ended (sadly looks at Addison's Cemeteries of Amalo), just had new releases, or haven't announced their next book. I'm not that excited about Katabasis by R.F. Kuang, but it's certainly on my TBR, so I guess that's the closest? Oh, but if we're including webnovels, then I'm looking forward to Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint's official English release. Related Book News I've Got My Eye On: I got to watch the first two episodes of Murderbot at its NYC premiere, and needless to say, I'm definitely excited for more! Other than that, I'm looking forward to Guillermo Del Toro's adaptation of Frankenstein. And looking at book adaptations news, I see Project Hail Mary's movie adaptation is supposed to be coming soon, so maybe that as well, depending on how I feel about its trailer?
My All-Time Favorite Book(s): So. Many. The Locked Tomb series by Tamsyn Muir, The Queen's Thief series by Megan Whalen Turner, The Broken Earth trilogy by N.K. Jemisin, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, etc. My Favorite Book Genre(s): Fantasy and science-fiction. A Book I Recommend in My Favorite Genre(s): I read The Spear Cuts Through Water by Simon Jimenez earlier this year, and it's definitely one of my favorite books this year. Such a fantastic story with gorgeous writing! A Book I Don't Recommend in My Favorite Genre(s): I recently read The Ministry of Time, and didn't really enjoy it. A Genre I'm Interested in Trying Out: Mmhm, at this point I think I've tried out all the genres... I mostly read fiction last year, so maybe I'll try to read more non-fiction this year.
