I haven't read it yet, but I want to. I read The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and wasn't really impressed. That one landed a lot better as a movie than as a book.
I wasn't planning to, but then a friend who's VERY into Haymitch read it in a day and has been raving about it ever since, so I guess I will once the library gets it.
I'm curious about it! I haven't read either of her post-Hunger Games trilogy books, but I've heard very good things and am interested. I think I'd want to reread the original trilogy first, though, and I have no idea where my copies went.
Ah, since I don't follow book news much, I wasn't aware it existed ! I think I'll want to read The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes first, since I bought it ages ago and is still sitting on my tbr. But I don't see why I wouldn't give this new one a try !
I'm waiting for my library hold to come through, but that will probably take a month or so. I didn't have any expectations for The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes but surprisingly enjoyed it, so I hope it'll be the same for this.
It's sat on my Kindle right now probably going to be my next read. I realised recently that I barely remember Songbirds and Snakes, but I'm putting that down to the headspace I was in in 2020. Maybe it'll be my re-read for my book bingo, haven't decided yet.
