Discussion: Libby
Oct. 24th, 2026 08:25 pmOkay, getting a library card for Berlin has been one of my reading goals for this year and I finally suceeded. The idea being that the Berlin library system uses Libby as their digital provider. (Side note: Most German libraries use a German app/service called Onleihe.)
So. I excitedly played around with Libby and I really like it so far. But one thing I'm missing is a way to "subscribe" to an author or a series. I would love to get a notification when Libby adds a new book from an author I'm interested in (likewise with series), but I don't find a button for that. Seeing as you can even get Libby to notify you about books they don't currently have, I can't imagine a feature like "subscribe to author" is something they simply didn't think of.
Are any of you using Libby and can enlighten me? Does a feature like this exist? Or if not ... is there a workaround?
