In 2024:

I Read: about 250 books including audiobooks - a lot of audiobooks and a whole lot of novellas so it's not as many as it maybe looks like!
My Reading Goal: to reduce my TBR pile by at least 50 books - I failed abysmally and actually ended up with more books that I started with because too many of the books I read were 'borrowed' either from the library, a friend or Kindle/Audible Plus
I Challenged Myself: no challenges
A New Genre I Attempted: I can't think of anything that would class as a new genre - unless maybe Romantasy - but I figure that I've probably read books that would now be classed as that even if they weren't at the time I read them.
An Author New-to-me in 2024 I Really Enjoyed: Leigh Bardugo, Seanan McGuire and Travis Baldree - I know that's three but they were all good.
My Favorite Book of the Year: I really enjoyed 'Legends and Lattes' and also the Six of Crows duology,
Books I Read in 2024 That I Recommend:Dragon Class by Melanie Astley was a great read as were 'A Psalm for the Wild Built' and 'A Prayer for the Crown Shy' by Becky Chambers. If you like an lgbtq end of world dystopia then 'All that's Left in the World' by Erik J Brown was also good.

In 2025:

My Reading Goal: Trying to reduce my TBR pile - aspirationally I'd like it to be 50 less by the end of the year but after last year even one less would be an improvement. Also to read some of the books on my TBR pile, I need to go back and revisit the early volumes in series because it is quite literally years since I read them.
I'm Going to Challenge Myself: nothing but the above or maybe to have no books on my Audible 'waiting to listen' collection that are more than 12 months on the list - definitely if I've bought them, less worried if they're borrowed from Audible Plus.
My TBR List: Officially my TBR pile has 518 books, but I know that I have some on Kindle and Audible that aren't listed and it doesn't account for any that I acquire as the year goes on
Books I'm Especially Interested in Reading in 2025: I'm hoping to make a start on Karen Miller's Kingmaker, Kingbreaker series as I have a lot of the series on the shelf unread, in addition, I'd like to re-read the early books and then go onto finish Brandon Sanderson's 'Mistborn' series and S A Chakraborty's Daevabad series.
A Book Coming Out in 2025 That I'm Excited About: not sure about this one at the moment - I have got a Seanan McGuire title on pre-order that's due out in a few days but not sure if it's new or just new to audio.
Other Book-Related News for 2025 I'm Interested In: nothing specific.

Well, I still think 250 books is impressive, not matter if parts of it were novellas and audiobooks! Well done :)
"Legends & Lattes" is on my list for this year, having heard so many good things about it from all around.
