I Read: 30 books + 71 manga
My Reading Goal: I feel pressured by reading goals so I don't use them. I just try to read a lot, and to read at least a few works that aren't in the dead center of my comfort zone.
I Challenged Myself: Same as above, I don't like the pressure.
A New Genre I Attempted: Is personal finance a genre? If so, it's that. Otherwise, it's more contemporary fiction.
An Author New-to-me in 2024 I Really Enjoyed: Wayama Yama! Her sense of humor works really well for me.
My Favorite Book of the Year: Ugh, just one? The Story of Silence by Alex Myers.
Books I Read in 2024 That I Recommend: Big list over at my journal.
In 2025:
My Reading Goal: No goals. Just read less self-help, I suppose. Also, I would like to read more fanfic 🙊
My TBR List: I'm planning to read the “syllabus” in If You Can by William Bernstein (PDF, 186KB). I also have a few professional development books that I haven't finished from last year.
Books I'm Especially Interested in Reading in 2025: Maybe this is the year I’ll finish A Random Walk Through Wall Street!
A Book Coming Out in 2025 That I'm Excited About: The final volume of A Cat from Our World and the Forgotten Witch! I'm also excited to read more chapters/volumes of the other manga I follow.
