I Read: 100 Books
My Reading Goal: My goal was 100 - it's been harder to hit the past couple of years but I like it as a challenge for myself.
I Challenged Myself: To read diversely, to try to read more of my physical books and to give away more books once I was done with them.
A New Genre I Attempted: I read We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie which is a Ted Talk as a book. I liked it a lot.
An Author New-to-me in 2024 I Really Enjoyed: Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé
My Favorite Book of the Year: I can never pick one...

Books I Read in 2024 That I Recommend: All of the ones in the previous question and add The Radium Girls which wasn't necessarily a favourite in that it didn't leave me feeling happy about things but it was an important read and was one of my highest rated books of the year.
In 2025:
My Reading Goal: To read 100 books and to be kind to myself if I don't make it.
I'm Going to Challenge Myself:
+ Continue reading more diverse books.
+ Read more physical books as I keep getting more than I’m reading. Focus on books received as gifts
+ Give more books away – to little free libraries etc. just free up the space if I’m not likely to re-read This year really prioritize this as I have an excess of books.
+ Try to buy mainly from local independent bookstores.
My TBR List: I don't have a realistic TBR. I add everything I have a shred of interest in to Goodreads.
Books I'm Especially Interested in Reading in 2025: Adrift in Currents Clean and Clear
by Seanan McGuire, My Favorite Thing is Monsters book two by Emil Ferris, the third Book of Dust by Philip Pullman if it's out this year, A Witch's Guide to Magical Innkeeping by Sangu Mandanna
A Book Coming Out in 2025 That I'm Excited About: All of the above except for the Emil Ferris one which is already out.
Other Book-Related News for 2025 I'm Interested In: I often am surprised by book news as I'm not following things that closely - so I'm pleased to say that finding out that Murderbot is getting a show makes my list of things I might be interested in.
