I Read: 19 books!
My Reading Goal: I set my goal at about... 17 I believe? And then upped it to 19 once I met that goal. I'm feeling good.
I Challenged Myself: Not really.
A New Genre I Attempted: I did read a non-fiction book on intuitive eating. I'm not sure how I felt about it. Some advice was useful
An Author New-to-me in 2024 I Really Enjoyed: A few new people, but particularly Lynn Flewelling.
My Favorite Book of the Year: It's hard to choose, but I think Abhorson was a top one for the end of the final battle.
Books I Read in 2024 That I Recommend: The Abhorsen series and The Bone Doll's Twin for sure. The first is a solid piece of YA fantasy with an intriguing world and an interesting magic system. The Bone Doll's Twin might be one of the most intriguing starts to a fantasy series I've ever read.
In 2025:
My Reading Goal: I'm going to try for for 20 books this more and will up the goal if I get there early. I'm excited because I think this will be a good year.
I'm Going to Challenge Myself: right now I'm doing a Daily War and Peace thing. I'm interested to see how this famous book holds up.
My TBR List: What's currently on my bookshelf and then I'm going through my to read list on storygraph to see what I can get from my library.
Books I'm Especially Interested in Reading in 2025: I'm hoping to get my hands on Holly Black's The Cruel Prince, because I saw a video and it looks like it'll be good fun. Also hoping to get Sher Lee's Legend of the White Snake.
A Book Coming Out in 2025 That I'm Excited About: Kellan Grave's Vessel of Woven Night. The last book ended on a terrible cliff hanger.
Other Book-Related News for 2025 I'm Interested In: Can't think of anything! Just excited to read!
