i'm reading Don't Eat Your Human Boyfriend by Lily Mayne. I also just finished There Is No Antimemetics Division by qntm over the weekend. So amazing. Absolutely worth all the hype and more! <3

24. Kaskaskia: The Lost Capital of Illinois, about the first capital of the Illinois Territory, its history before that, its architecture, some of the prominent people who lived there, and how it was eventually swallowed by the Mississippi River. I'm sure people growing up in Illinois learn all about it school, but entirely new to me.

25. Starfinder Second Edition: Galactic Ancestries, a sourcebook for lots of new alien species options for player characters. I think my planned skittermander operative is going to have to be a glittermander...

Indigo by Nataha Boyd. A story of a girl left in charge of her father's plantation in South Carolina during the Revolutionary war period and her struggle to make indigo a viable crop. I'm reading this because a work client recommended it, and so we have things to talk about.

The Paris Apartment by Lucy Foley. Audiobook. Every once in a while, I really enjoy these multiple POV mystery/thrillers. A British woman running from shady dealings goes to see her half-brother only he's missing when she gets there and she's putting the clues together of his creepy neighbors and the cat with blood on its fur! Love the different voices for the different POV.

Just started a re-read (read it in high school) of Hesse's Steppenwolf. Not very far in, but this time it's making more sense to me this time!
