I've heard good things about it (though I don't know the difference between the original and the updated one). Good luck!

Because she was still writing the series, but things were SO DATED, instead of 'floating' the timeline like Nero Wolfe novels, she actually went in and released editions that bring the protags up in time, replacing the tech level, etc. ALSO, she improved the characterizations of her autistic character based on reader feedback (actually autistic ones).
