I've been catching up on some light novel purchases. I read Though I am an Inept Villainess vol 8 and 9, and love them. It just keeps getting more and more gay with each volume! Definitely looking forward to vol 10's release, which is fortunately soon.

Raven of the Inner Palace's been on my TBR for years, and I finally got around to it. I see where the comparisons to Apothecary Diaries are coming from, it's rather apt in that they solve mysteries around the inner court, but Raven's a lot more supernatural and I'm really enjoying how the protagonist is slowly opening up to others.

9. At the request of my significant other, Speed Six!, a book he recalls fondly from his childhood. Described by him as "a boys' own adventure book from the 1950s"... and, yup, that sums it up. Women and POC are notable by their complete absence, which is a lot better than it could have been. Mostly harmless.

Now I feel like I would be justified in making the SO read Ballet Shoes.

10. Seven No-Trump, another Crossroads Adventure gamebook, this time set in Roger Zelazny's Amber setting. So far, well-written but not very gamelike.
