Most people into Heated Rivalry probably know that there are additional stories on Rachel Reid's website, like this Halloween one.

There are also snippets in the Memento Mori series by C S Poe mostly posted on insta, like like this one here.

K J Charles has some addition epilogues and POVs on her website

I know other authors also do this, but don't remember which offhand. I'm also looking around for a good links list to the Poe ones since they are on insta and fussy to grab. (I meant this to be more a coherent resource post, oops, but maybe we can crowdsource one)

Anyone know of other authors who also post side stories for free? Anyone surprised to hear this happens?

I guess you can trace this back to J.R.R. Tolkien - or at least, to his estate, publishing his other works, drafts, notes, etc., posthumously.

Off the top of my head, I know that there's at least one short story set in Seanan McGuire's Wayward Children universe that's available to read for free (Skeleton Song).

(I did not know about extra short stories on Rachel Reid's website, so that's appreciated info! I just started Game Changer.)

Jules Kelley (romance author) has a freebie short story that came between two published short stories. (Though she had to take the published ones off of kindle, and I don't think they're available at all at the moment.)

Emily Antoinette (romance/erotica author) has a few freebie short stories on her website or as freebies if you sign up for her newsletter. A lot of them are extra epilogue or short stories following the couples/moresomes from her works.

Seanan McGuire has quite a few short stories on her website, lots of which are prequels or side stories to her established series. Nowadays most of the new short stories are posted on her Patreon at the $1 tier, and/or are included as bonuses at the ends of the new published releases, but a lot of older ones are still available. Her Velveteen vs. series was originally being serial published on her Livejournal, and I think the first two books are still available there.

Tor.com/Reactor is a publisher rather than an author, but they fairly frequently post short fiction by their authors. Many are standalone, but a handful also connect to ongoing series. (There are a couple Murderbot short stories they've published. There was also a Murderbot short story originally posted on Wired's website, and while I think it's gone now, it was easy to find when I wanted to dig up a copy for my mom, ha.) Might not QUITE fit the bill of "shared on the author's website," but it is free stuff that I think some people don't know exists.

Those are the ones that come to mind, haha.

CS Pacat fez isso com Captiva Prince, só não sei se as obras ainda estão lá depois que foram compiladas em um e-book na Amazon.
