I am rereading Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents. It's very relevant to my family of origin. It does lean heavily into dichotomies though (people are emotionally mature/immature, externalisers/internalisers) so it's definitely a book to pick and choose tidbits from rather than accept wholesale.

I'm reading The Everywhere Express by Samantha Sotto Yambao. It's got a lot of promise and is intriguing but I'm 100+ pages in (and it's 416 pages total) and I feel like I'm still reading exposition.

I finished Ice! Holy frak that was a long book! I found it interesting, but I don't think I actually liked it.

16. Started Cat in a Kiwi Con, a cozy murder mystery taking place in part at a convention which is Worldcon with the serial numbers filed off.

Just finished "The Women of Wild Hill" by Kirsten Miller today. A family of witches, who only give birth to girls and who have really horrible luck with love and who tend to have bad luck in general. At the time of the main story, they've reached the time of The Three, who have a great destiny awaiting them.

I enjoyed the book, although it was very slow to get going. I was almost bored the first half, but then it picked up and got moving. I liked the characters, and the plot was pretty decent, having an ecological bent and earth centered religion. Four out of five stars.
